Someone looking for a singlefamily home for under $250,000 in South Lake Tahoe in 2005-06 was simply out of luck. From May 2005 to April 2006, no homes were listed in that price range at South Tahoe, according to data from the South Tahoe Association of Realtors.
And for the next two years, the number of listings in the under-$250,000 price range stayed at zero or in the single digits, until increasing to 11 in June 2008. That number has been on the rise…
