2016 Real Estate Forecast

Good news-2016 should be a year of continued stabilization in our South Shore Lake Tahoe real estate markets with slow but steady growth, both in sales and pricing projected at 5% as forecast by National Assoc. of Realtors and California Assoc. of Realtors, respectively.  Since the bottom of the market in 2012, we have seen double digit uptick in pricing (year over year) but a decline in sales due to the pricing increase from both years which presented affordability issues.  The good news-US underlying economic fundamentals are forecast to be stable: GDP at 3%, unemployment decreasing to 5% and interest rates hovering at historic lows of 4-5% all of which contribute to consumer confidence uptick!
